And the hyperpoise from Endure allows you to run out of the roar field instead of getting stunlocked. Combined with a high magic res shield (Silver Mirrorshield, my beloved) you can tank everything. So I've noticed that Endure on an off-hand weapon is really useful. Most of the attacks are highly telegraphed and you have ample time to react, just not to escape. Getting caught in the double is a death sentence. The Roars (once, and double) stunlocks your character while dealing high damage and building up frost. The "sweep" breath (from your right to left) and the flying breath attack usually hits you square on when you're running on foot. The "tracking" breath is easily avoided by running sideways. If you're unlucky you haven't even managed to do chip damage in the first minute of the fight. Or it relocates, forcing you to spend 20 seconds running around while it spews out frost dmg breaths. You hug its hind legs to avoid the stunlocking roars, which just makes it perform its leg-slam attack which has a lingering AoE effect. This boss is pretty rough in coop, especially if everyone is melee. Circling in towards him as he uses (and you avoid) his breath attack can get you nice and close in a safe way for a well timed hit, but riding straight at him usually triggers the kind of attacks that you really don't want to be close to. and there are openings where you can get in safely, and get in a couple of hits before getting out of range again. Using Torrent to avoid the beast until there is an opening works well. its somewhat easier when you can see him clearly :) Spectral lance works well as a ranged option that will stun him with a few hits. As you approach the end of the lake the blizzard dissipates and then you can ride back to fight Borealis. As soon as he has spawned and the blizzard has started ride back West across the lake towards the top of the "frozen waterfall" near the Freezing Lake site of grace. Starting at the Freezing Lake site of grace, ride Torrent East across the late towards where Borealis spawns. The annoyance of the mist side of the problem is easily dealt with. See Flying Dragon Agheel for a full boss guide.Defeating Borealis, the Freezing Fog unlocks Borealis's Mist at the Cathedral of Dragon Communion in Caelid.
